About me

 

Devon Rowcliffe is a politics and football (soccer) writer based in Vancouver, Canada. His writing, thoughts and photographs have been featured in more than 120 sites, spanning 16 countries and five continents. He holds a B.A. (political science and Asian studies) from the University of British Columbia and an M.A. (political science and Asian studies) from the University of Toronto.

Regarding Canadian politics, he is interested in Vancouver municipal politics, British Columbian provincial politics, and Canadian federal politics. Particular topics of interest include proportional representation and other aspects of democratic reform. Twitter: @DevonRowcliffe

Another of Rowcliffe's writing passions is association football (soccer). Topics include formal supporter involvement in clubs (including fan ownership), national knockout cup competitions (particularly the earliest rounds of England's FA Cup and the U.S. Open Cup), as well as non-League (amateur) clubs around the world. Rowcliffe spent three years living in England, including briefly serving on the committee of London non-League club Hanwell Town. He is currently writing a book, Who Ate All The Squid? Football Adventures in South Korea, premised on following a Korean football club home and away for an entire K-League season.
